Happy Spaces

Family is one of my greatest passions, whether it is spending time with my children, grandchildren or siblings, distant relatives or just people I've deemed part of my pack.  My earliest memories  of being encompassed in the love of family was at weekly gatherings at my Maternal Grandparent’s small home along with aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends. To me home was (and still is today) the nucleus of family.

My Grandparents house was a cottage to today’s home standards.  Four rooms built on a working farm. Together we gathered to share in life, we laughed, we learned and we sometimes held each other tight and mourned a loss but no matter how small of a dwelling or how many overfilled the rooms it was always safe and comforting.   The furnishings were simple and utilitarian for a home of its era.

As far back as my first apartment I found myself drawn to furnishings that reminded me of the feeling of refuge I experienced as a child, soft rugs, worn antique elements and family photos.  My very first antique purchase was a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine that was reminiscent of my Grandmothers, I immediately filled one drawer with old buttons to remind myself of the childhood memory of finding what to my Grandparents were a depression era necessity to me was a colorful treasure.  Still today I can open that drawer, run my fingers through the buttons and transform myself back to those childhood surroundings.

Home (or office) being the nucleus of any get-together is where my passion for my career in the flooring business really began.  To me we aren’t selling a floor we are providing the foundation to your gathering spot.

For your home the floor that you will sit on to assemble your first furniture in your new home, where you will watch with an over abundance of joy as your baby takes its first steps, where you will trip over toys and mountains of laundry.  Where your kids will spill drinks and track in mud.  Where eventually you will stare into an empty room as your children leave the nest, wondering where time has gone.  Then rejoice in the extra space to follow your hobbies until the grandchildren take over and start the cycle again.  Filling your home with the love of family and friends all along the way.

For your business a place to collaborate, grow and provide the desired culture and aesthetics for both your clients and employees.  To laugh with co workers and celebrate in one another's lives.

Your home and office should be a unique reflection of your personality.  Find colors, objects and textures that put you and others at ease so the focus is on celebrating one another and those memories that bring you the greatest joy.  Today’s flooring technology has come a long way in helping you provide aesthetic appeal without foregoing the thought of endless maintenance or unsafe environments, providing the comforts of today’s technology without foregoing your own individuality.  So, when you are ready for your next floors I hope you will consider us to help you in the journey.  We thrive on helping others find their happy space!

Keep Living in Grace,

Michele
